Zita Christian is the author of three historical romances published by Harper Collins. Writing as Zelena Winters, she is the author of a contemporary novella, "Tambourine Moon," in the anthology Words of the Witches published by Berkley in August, 2002. The April 2004 issue of Hooked On The Outdoors magazine featured her article "Step By Step" about her husband廣 thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail.

In April 2004, Zita launched the public access show, Page 1 - the show for writers with the reader in mind. Page 1 features interviews with writers, editors, booksellers, and others connected with the craft of writing, the business of publishing, and the joy of reading. Guests have included fantasy author Diana Paxson, author of Marion Zimmer Bradley廣 Ancestors of Avalon; Liz Aleshire and Kathy Barach, co-authors of The Official Price Guide to Quilts published by Random House, and their editor Dorothy Harris, director of acquisitions; Carla Neggers, New York Times bestselling author of romantic suspense and author of Night廣 Landing; Joe Young, creator of the once-syndicated comic strip Scruples and the new animated television special, It廣 Christmas, Dr. Joe! the husband and wife writing team Jim and Nikoo McGoldrick who write historical romance as May McGoldrick and contemporary suspense as Jan Coffey, and poet Elizabeth Thomas who teaches young poets in Connecticut how to write and how to perform in poetry slams.

Zita also hosts and produces the television show "Full Bloom," an hour-long, interview format program that focus on topics of interest to the baby boom generation. Among her guests have been forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee, State Comptroller Nancy Wyman, radio personality Brad Davis, award-winning comedian Nancy Tucker, and psychic detective Nancy Weber. Topics for those, and other, guests have included: the New England Carousel Museum, volunteering, AIDS bicycle ride in Alaska, collecting antique quilts, skin care, women廣 sacred symbols, care-giving for the elderly, training animals for the theater, an on-site interview at the Florence Griswold Museum, Norse mythology, and hypnosis.

For the last nine years, Zita has taught a week-long course on the basics of writing genre fiction at the annual conference of the International Women's Writing Guild (www.iwwg.org). She has also taught the course at the Hartford College for Women. Zita is a frequent speaker on the craft of writing and the business of publishing.

While working on her next novel, Zita works as conference coordinator and project leader in the education department of The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, CT.
